Hi Folks,

Wanted to let you know that the fun and heartwarming Valentine's Dance/Empty Bowl Project is coming up this Saturday, February 25th, from 1-3:30pm. We are inviting the Down Syndrome Association of the North Bay back for a second time to this event, as the first event, three years ago, was such a hit. As a result, they have a special invite for us they'll be announcing at our event on the 25th!

The event will start with a soup/mac n' cheese lunch in a handmade ceramic bowl! These bowls plus lunch and admission to the dance cost a total of $20.

We need a few volunteers to make/buy lunch; please email me if you can help!!

About half of the bowls have been hand "thrown" by our children on a potter's wheel over the past few weeks. The other half will be purchased as "bisqueware" so that every student (and even a few parents) have the opportunity to "glaze" (paint) a bowl!

The fee is being raised as a fundraiser for the special needs community that we share a campus with here at VCS. One idea is to use the funds to by equipment for a shared obstacle course that our kids can use when they go to "play" together with "Room 11."

The Valentine's dance will begin roughly around 1:45pm and last till 3pm. If you prefer to come for just the dance the cost is $5, again to be given towards this community service event.

This is a ❤️-felt, and belly-satisfying event; we hope you all join us!

Hello and happy holidays, VCS families!

VCS has been given a unique opportunity to raise money for our school from [big bottom market] ​here in Sonoma County. Their Big Bottom Biscuit Mix + Honey Gift Set​ was named one of Oprah’s Favorite Things 2016​ (great selling point) and they have offered to supply us with as much biscuit mix + honey as we can sell as a holiday fundraiser. VCS will get to keep half of all the proceeds. ​ If every student were to sell just 5-6 bags of biscuit mix, we could make up to $6,500 for​ our school!

So, let’s get out there and sell some delicious and unique holiday treats (plus a little bit of fame) to our ​friends and family and do a whole lot of good for our school! ​ Participation is appreciated but not mandatory.

          ● Orders will be filled and available in the office every Friday through December 23.

          ● Orders must be in by each Wednesday for Friday delivery.
