School Garden Network Fundraiser!

The School Garden Network is hosting a virtual fundraising event on April 22nd from 5-6pm. VCS has been a recipient of two SGN programs; the first was the teen apprenticeship program (TAP) where high school students installed the irrigation and the second was the Schoolyard Habitat Grant. This provided funding and support for our garden design, plant selection and student activities.

The links to the event and the auction site are:

School Garden Network Fundraising Auction

What will make this fun for the Village community? An interview with Mr. Winter about the garden, many pictures of the VCS garden and students, and a cameo appearance. There is also an online silent auction that lasts up until the event. It’s all pretty awesome and for a great cause!

One more thing: we are offering a tomato plant that comes in a pot with soil to any student that wants one, until they run out. We have about 50 tomato starts.

Thanks for participating!
