Here's just a sampling of all the fabulous reasons to spend this afternoon with your Village:

FOOD: Yummy BBQ, sno-cones, pop corn & sweets at our cake walk

GAMES: Go Fish, Bean Bag Toss, Spin the Wheel, Twister, sack race, leg tie race

AND MORE: photo booth, dunk tank bucket, pony rides, sheep petting, volleyball games & the "Moonracker " rides

1. We need LOTS OF LITTLE PRIZES.  Do you have party favors laying around (cluttering up your home? :-).  We'll take them off your hands and put them to good (recycled) use.  We're definitely not asking folks to purchase new ones, we're confident we can collect plenty for our carnival games just from re-using what families can gather around their homes.  Just toss 'em in a bag and drop 'em in the office NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, JUNE 4th.

2.  On the yummy side of things, WE NEED ITEMS FOR OUR CAKE WALK (everything sweet to eat is welcome--homemade or store bought, sugar-full, sugar-free, gluten-full, gluten-free, etc.).  The more the (much) merrier! Baked goods can be delivered anytime on Thursday, June 7, including just bringing it along when you arrive at the carnival.

3. AFTERCARE KIDDOS:  If you will be unable to attend the carnival, but your child will be in aftercare, they don't have to miss all the fun.   You will have an opportunity to pre purchase tickets that will be distributed on the day of the event when students are dismissed from aftercare to participate. More info to come.

3.  Last, but certainly not least, we are asking for volunteers for setup and cleanup, AND that EACH PARENT that's able to attend SIGN-UP FOR ONE 30-MINUTE SHIFT to actually make the fun happen!

Please click on the following web link (or copy it into your web browser if clicking doesn't work) to go to the signup sheet. To sign up, just follow the instructions on the page. It only takes a few seconds to do.

Thank you for volunteering!

Talent Show

Thank you to all the kids who turned in the form with their interest on participating in the Talent Show.  The Talent Show Committee will interview all the participants NEXT WEDNESDAY, MAY 29TH FROM 1:00 PM TO 2:00 PM. This will be a short interview to make sure we have everything they need on the day of the talent show.

It's Yearbook Time!

Come to the quad at 1:00 on Wednesday, May 29th to pick up your yearbook! This is a great opportunity to sign yearbooks too, so don't forget your favorite pen.

Didn't preorder? That's okay! There are plenty of extra yearbooks available to purchase. Just bring $25 in cash or a check made out to Village Charter School.
