IMPORTANT WINTER REMINDER!

All VCS classes go outside for recess, even when it is raining. It is important that you send your child (yes, even the older ones) to school ready to be outside when it is wet and cold. This means students need to be dressed in weather appropriate clothing (it’s getting cold) and shoes AND have rain boots and a rain jacket.  Sweatshirts and other jackets that are not water resistant are not sufficient–students need to be able to return to the classroom dry and ready to work.

We are accepting donations of used rain gear (all sizes). If anyone has any Acorn sized (5T, XS, shoe 10, 11, 12) rain gear to pass on to us, we would appreciate it!

We need WATERPROOF jackets, pants, and rain boots please!

PLEASE LET THE OFFICE OR YOUR CHILD’S TEACHER KNOW IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO RAIN GEAR. WE WILL HELP SET YOU UP!

Winter Solstice

Winter Solstice is a beautiful and magical evening full of song and joy. Mark your calendars for Thursday, 12/21. Start time is 6:30 PM. Bring a mug for hot cider after the show.

Teachers will be communicating with you about Winter Solstice attire and other specifics related to the Solstice Festival. PLEASE make sure ahead of time that you have what is needed. If you do not have a specific item, let us know and we can provide it. We ask that clothing for this event be logo/image free.

Just a quick reminder about holiday gifting at VCS. We know many families want to celebrate and thank educators. However, here at Village we do not gift teachers or staff money. We have a general fund from which we use to gift all teachers and staff a holiday bonus. If you feel called and want to donate financially it will go into our general fund and will help offset what comes out of that for bonuses. There is a jar for cash, checks, or scan to pay in the office.
Handmade gifts, food, cards, etc. are welcomed!

PA is seeking the following:
* 5-10 ceramic dinner plates
* AA batteries
* CR2032 batteries
