If you can please bring a LABELED dish to share. We have students with severe nut allergies and want to keep everybody safe and healthy please label ALL FOOD DISHES
Keeping in sync with our values we ask each family to please bring their own plates and utensils. This may seem like a big ask, but it is extremely important we do not create a lot of trash using one-time plastics at gatherings and festivals. Throughout your journey at VCS, you will be asked to bring your own dishes, so investing in plates that can be brought to these events is worthwhile. We suggest checking your local thrift store, using old dishes that have/could be chipped, or using your camping sets.
WE CAN USE some help preparing for this fun event–keep an eye out for a sign up genius and more details soon!
Field Trip Chaperone Requirements!
Teachers are starting to plan field trips and we will be reaching out to parents to chaperone and drive.
If you want to drive/chaperone you MUST:
ü Attend a mandatory chaperone meeting to drive on a field trip. I am scheduling one additional meeting for THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 at 3:30
ü Valid and current Driver’s License
ü Current 100/300 vehicle insurance policy (copy of declaration page to Carolyn)
ü DMV driving record printout
ü Fingerprints on file with VCS
Cross Country/Running Club
It’s not too late to join! We are excited to announce VCS is starting a Middle School Cross Country Team (6th-8th Grade) and Running Club (4th and 5th Grade). The season will Run from mid-September through October. If your child is interested, please contact Ms. Parent, Mr. Matt, or Rebecca as soon as possible.
Garden Club
Thank you to all the volunteers who came out and joined us for garden club on Thursday. Our next garden club will be on Tuesday September 19 from 3:00-4:00.
