Friday 11/3—Dia De Los Muertos

We are honored to have you join us for this very special event. Students have been working hard and preparing for an evening of honoring our ancestors.
Classroom teachers will let you/your students know what to wear, bring, and when to arrive.
There will be a fire pit set up for our performance, and traditionally, parents have brought musical instruments and played and sang into the evening. PLEASE feel welcome to bring your instrument and carry on that tradition. It’s a fun one!
Keeping in sync with our values we ask each family to please bring your own cups for a very special treat!

An Important Reminder
Festivals and events are a fun time for all. However, once students are done with teacher led presentations/activities, the expectation is that parents/caregivers are responsible for their children. Staff and teachers are not on duty and are NOT acting in a supervisory role. Parents and caregivers are responsible for their children. Please talk with your child(ren) beforehand and discuss what you are comfortable with. We strive for all festivals and events to be fun and safe for everyone. We thank you in advance for your consideration.
Garden Volunteers
If anyone is interested in helping out the garden crew we are meeting this Thursday Nov 2nd from 3:15-4:15. We need help deadheading flowers, cutting back perennials and weeding. Bring clippers if you have them. Miss Kristen’s garden boxes all need to be replenished with soil and we have just enough left in our pile to fill them. If anyone wants to bring some twine and clippers and take on the willow teepee feel free. There is also just a general clean up that can happen with the courtyard to make it look nice for Dia De Los Muertos. If you want to help in the garden, but can’t make it contact me and we can find another time.
