➤ Whole-School Farmer’s Market at VCS
Wednesday, May 29th from 12:30-1:00
Hello, Awesome VCS Community!
As some of you may know, Ashley!’s class has been partnering with different classrooms this school year in hosting Farmer’s Markets on our very own Village Charter School campus.
It’s been so much fun to use our creativity and skills to craft food items, special crafts, and gardening items. As we approach the end of the year, we thought it would be great to have one large, whole-school Farmer’s Market for our final market. If your family is willing and able to participate, we would love to welcome your wares. We do want the items to be student-made so, should you choose to join us, please help your student in: crafting, creating, growing, baking, or cooking whatever they choose.
We ask that families follow some of our simple guidelines:
○ Please find sustainable ways to present your product. We would love to avoid things like lots of plastic packaging or single-use items. We will be asking the whole community to bring their own bags, plates/bowls, cups, and utensils, so that they can enjoy their purchased products.
○ Consider making items out of recycled materials or leftover crafts, so that we do not create extra waste and, instead, use what we have!
○ Please use your creativity with recipes so that we are avoiding heavily processed or sugary foods–sweets are great, but consider what alternatives to sugar can be used when crafting your delicious delicacies!
○ There’s no need to make something for the entire student population! I’m sure we will have a lot to buy, so think around 15-30 pieces to sell.
○ Please no store-bought items. On the day of the market, you may bring items directly to Ashley!’s classroom at the beginning of the school day. Please also create a sign for your item that includes ingredients, what the item is, and perhaps a picture of the item! Families are welcome to come to the market from 12:30-1:00 as well.
Thank you, all!
~Ashley
➤ Puppies!
Hello,
Four weeks ago, we were introduced to three puppies that were found on the side of the road. We graciously took them in to foster them and provide them a loving environment until they were ready for their permanent homes. They are now ready! There is one for sure that is in need of a loving family while the other two are pending.
14 weeks of age, fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. We are hoping to find loving homes for them within our community so we can continue to have visitation rights. 😉 We are asking for $300 as that was the cost for us to vaccinate, neuter, and microchip.
If anyone is interested in a visit or would like to know more information, please reach out to Ashley (Harper and Lane’s mom) at 707-206-5832 or ashleyscs@yahoo.com.
Thank you!
Ashley (Harper and Lane’s mom)
